Same Page

Same Page is a body of work created between 2019 and 2021 in Detroit, Michigan, by artist AJ Kesler. Each piece consists of a marker and ink on paper. The “back” of each piece is illustrated based on the color-fields left behind by the marker bleed. The frames for this body of work (36 pieces in total) sit on a hinge, allowing the viewer to turn each piece back and forth as if if were a page in a book. The frames were fabricated by Rob Todd of Robotodd Industries (robotodd.com) also with help from Fidget Nyquist.
